We are a country with multiple faiths and gods, the number of which almost exceeds infinity.

We are a country so diverse! We talk differently, we eat differently. We pray differently, we live differently. But watch us cheer for our cricket team and there’s nothing more united you’ll ever watch again. Talking specifically in the language of sports, we have one God (do we really need to spell S-A-C-H-I-N) and one religion - CRICKET!

This video was shot before the 2016 World Cup T20 Semi Finals when every Indian had a prayer for the Gods and a message for the Indian Cricket team - #PlayBold.

This fan anthem was shot across Mumbai, Kolkata and Delhi; and I was given the task to shoot several sequences with the second unit in the capital, scheduled over a day. It was preceded by a day of scouting and we chose Nehru Place, for the morning shot, followed by Thyagraj Stadium, Chandni Chowk, Lodhi Colony, Hauz Khas, India Gate and also the then ongoing art festival in Tughlakabad.

When the men in blue take to the pitch, the entire nation bleeds their colour. Together the country cheers at every finishing sixer, gasps at every dropped catch and applauds at every classic stumping. We have cried with joy when the team lifted the World Cup and also gracefully accepted the defeats; all together as one nation.

We tried to capture this passion, the emotions and feelings of those bleed blue for the sport. The video has been presented by Royal Challenge and staying true to its tagline, we have made it large!
